性质:分子氧有三个稳定的电子态:三线态氧(3O2或3∑g-)和两个单线态氧(1O2;1△g和1∑g+)。实际上单线态氧是分子氧的激发态,他们相对于三线态氧(实际上是普通概念的基态)的能量分别为E(1△g)=96kJ/mol,E(1∑g+)=160kJ/mol。单线态氧可以在不同的光激发得到:λ(1△g)=1269nm,λ(1∑g+)=762nm。但这种状态很难在溶液中形成,因而在溶液中单线态氧通常是通过单线态敏化剂的敏化过程而获得。1△g单线态氧可以通过过氧化氢与有机物或无机物的反应而获得,这一过程伴随着化学发光现象。典型的有机单线态敏化剂有9,10-二溴蒽、二苯甲酮和偶氮类化合物。
