The propagation behaviors of the longitudinal,transverse and Ray-leigh waves of ultrasonic pulse in round glass rod are analyzed by the dynamic photoelasticity technique in the case where the angled of incidence on the side of the rod is 900.

Optical glass in which sound velocity is closer to the velocity of metal materials was adopted,and the scattering of ultrasonic pulsed longitudinal wave and transverse wave around cylindrical cavity in glass was studied by the means of dynamic photoelasticity technique.

We use the system of the dynamic photoelasticity and,observed the propagation of ultrasonic pulse longitudinal wave in glass,in this method stimulating the propagation property of ultrasonic wave reflection and scattering in metal.

The experiment was conducted for cumulative effectiveness of slit charge based on dynamic photoelasticity method,and the isochromatic fringes graphs in the process of blasting of slit charge were obtained.

Then, a simple layered plate under impact loading is studied experimentally using dynamic photoelasticity and dynamic caustics to investigate the models accuracy and stability.

A hybrid method combining dynamic photoelasticity, caustics and boundary element numerical method is proposed to resolve two typical dynamic problems, and the separated stress field is obtained The method is shown to be a powerful tool in the study of dynamic elastic problem

The isochromatic fringes graphs of smooth blasting and cutting seam blasting of pipe protecting borehole wall were obtained upon dynamic photo-elasticity experiments on both kinds of blasting.

At the same time,the simulation experiment of focus sound field of ultrasonic transducer was done by the dynamic photoelasticity instrument.
