内容提要： 阐述了现代模具制造在引进虚拟技术观念后对计算机技术和数控加工技术的组织模式 0．引言 目前, 虚拟制造技术还没有形成完整的理论体系, 一般认为是在高性能计算机及高速网络的支持下, 辅以各类专用设备及仪器, 不是事实上的但又是本质上的, 在计算机上实现将原材料变成产品的过程。这个课题从提出之日起即充分显示出灵活、高效、经济的优点, 吸引了许多不同学科领域的研究者。本文立足现代模具制造, 对虚拟技术的组织模式进行探讨。 1．模具制造业的特点与现状 模具对于一般产品来说属于工具范畴, 精度高、结构复杂、并经常有较高的材质要求, 使得模具设计制造相当困难。另外, 由于以它为工具的成形过程往往是封闭式的, 并涉及材料的微观机理, 使得产品成形过程很不直观, 加上相应的一些基础理论尚不成熟, 更使模具设计制造带有很强的经验性和盲目性。因此, 模具设计制造一般需要反复修改试制才能满足需求, 无形中延长了生产周期, 增加了成本, 降低了市场相应能力和竞争能力。 针对这些因素, 人们除了从理论上进一步探讨其内在机理外, 试图在现有的理论基础上能够通过一定手段直观地再现产品的成形过程, 起初以实验为主, 通过物理模拟, 利用各种实验设备, 建立了经验性的模型。自七八十年代以来, 逐渐过渡到以仿真技术为主, 利用力学、数学、计算机知识, 通过数值模拟, 基本上能定性地再现产品成形过程, 为模具实际设计制造提供有益的参考。 2．技术背景
现代模具制造的提出是以两大技术的应用为标志的。其一是数控加工的技术, 其二是计算机应用技术。这些技术大约出现在五十年代初期, 近半个世纪来得到了长足的发展, 为引入虚拟技术准备了技术条件和奠定了物质基础。 数控加工技术按其能量转换形式不同可分为： 1) 数控机械加工技术, 模具制造中常常用到的如数控车削技术、数控铣削技术, 这些技术正在朝着高速切削的方向发展; 2) 数控电加工技术, 如数控电火花加工技术、数控线切割技术; 3) 数控特种加工技术, 包括新兴的、应用还不太广泛的各种数控加工技术, 通常利用光能、声能、超声波等来完成加工的, 如快速原型制造技术等。
