生产方法:由对羟基苯甲酸与乙醇在硫酸催化剂存在下进行酯化,酯化完成后在水中结晶,再经过滤;酸洗得成品。

用途:有机中间体。用作防腐剂;抑菌剂,用于食品;化妆品;医药品。还可用作有机分析试剂。该品对霉菌;酵母与细菌有广泛的抗菌作用,对霉菌与酵母的作用较强,但对细菌特别是对革兰氏阴性杆菌及乳酸菌的作用较差。是食品和医药的高效防腐杀菌剂。
