Based on COADS & OISST data, the interannual variability of sea surface tempera-ture anomaly (SSTA ) in the South China Sea (SCS) is studied combined with ENSO events,and the contribution of Ekman pumping to the variability is further discussed.

      浙江省舟山市人民政府驻地、舟山群岛水陆交通枢纽。位于省境东北,由舟山岛中、 西部及金塘、 册子、长白等117座岛屿组成。陆域面积535平方公里,其中山地占43%。人口31万余。夏商为越东南境,周时属越周的句东,又称甬东。唐开元二十六年(738)置翁山县,北宋改称昌国县(当时船只靠山而泊,故别名舟山)。元升昌国州,明初复县。清康熙二十六年(1687)始称定海县。1987年撤县设区。岛上地势起伏,滨海平原狭小,农作以水稻、甘薯为主。附近海域盛产大、小黄鱼、带鱼和墨鱼。近年来大、小黄鱼产量大减。定海城关镇人口近5万。商业繁荣,工业有造船修船、水产品加工等部门。港口宽阔,有千吨级码头,班轮直达上海、宁波及舟山市的主要岛屿。杭州─沈家门公路上的海上汽车轮渡已建成。名胜古迹有晋"祖印寺"、明"同归域"、清"三忠祠"及舟山革命烈士陵园。
