According to the successful application of SID-2V microcomputer synchronism installation in Xigou Hydropower Plant,This paper introduces the main character,function,and the existent problems in the onsite application and the managing measure of this installation.

This paper describes the design of generator synchronizing circuit of large power plants at present,analyzes possible problems thereof,and presents a method for over-all inspection and test on generator synchronizing circuit and automatic quasi-synchronizing devices,so that the generator synchronizing and closing can be safer and more reliable.

It points out some questions which must be given attention to in course of synchronizing and shows the necessity that we should apply the intellectualized automatic quasi-synchronizing device to synchronize.

This paper analyzes the serious damage to Baoding power system caused by 220 kV overloaded transformers in system faulty operating conditions and proposes the installation of microcomputer-based automation device to solve this problem.

The ability for software debugging is improved by adding routine module relating to communication between PC and microcomputer-based telecontrol equipment to interrupt service routine.
