在日前举行的伦敦dsei国际军事装备展览会上，南非milkor公司的子公司--“milkor美国”展出了一种新型的射击武器--mgl-140轻型半自动转轮式枪榴弹发射器。
mgl-140
的口径为40毫米，将用于替代目前的mgl mk-1型榴弹发射器。与现役的同类装备相比，mgl-140拥有更快的射击速率和更高的打击精度。
据研制人员介绍，一名手持mgl-140榴弹发射器的士兵可在一秒钟内使用40毫米枪榴弹对400米外的目标进行两次射击。而在150米的距离以内，该武器的射击精度甚至可与狙击步枪相媲美。
mgl-140枪榴弹发射器由“milkor美国”公司和martin electronics公司联合研制，其不仅可使用北约标准的40x60毫米枪榴弹，而且还可使用其它型号的40毫米致死或非致死型枪榴弹。
“milkor美国”公司总经理里查德·索尔伯格介绍称，美国国防部和国土安全部下属的几个部门已经开始装备mgl-140。与此同时，美军的特种部队在一系列作战行动中也曾多次使用该型武器。
“milkor美国”公司已从mgl系列枪榴弹发射器的研制者--南非milkor marketing那里获得了使用该品牌的许可。此外，“milkor美国”公司还取得了在美国境内建造该型武器并将其销往其他北约成员国的授权。
南非milkor marketing公司执行经理弗里茨·维谢尔表示，目前公司制造的枪榴弹发射器已销往全球36个国家，其中还包括一些北约成员国。
