瓯塑  是浙江温州的著名工艺美术,温州旧称“东瓯”,故名。原名“油泥塑”或“油泥彩塑”。是一种古色古香的彩色浮雕堆塑,具有浓郁的民间特色。据传,早在宋代就在浙南一带流传,当时只是单色或贴金镀银,主要应用于寺院的佛像、门神及家具、嫁妆和礼品等装饰,工艺较粗糙。解放后,创制各种彩色油泥,是用精白陶土、熟桐油和矿物颜料混合而成,干后表面结膜生泽,水浸不透,受燥不裂,轻便牢固,不易褪色。同时又吸取其他造型艺术长处,提高了瓯塑艺术水平。在堆塑技法上,以堆、塑、挑、刮、压等手法,按不同表现对象,采取深浮雕、浅浮雕、线刻等传统技巧,变化无穷,层次清晰,色泽明快,形象生动,立体感强。品种有挂屏、挂镜。壁塑等欣赏品,又有屏风、家具、瓶、盒等实用品。内容有风景、人物、花鸟等。瓯塑挂屏“韶山”,曾受到周总理赞扬。“西湖天下景”瓯塑,现陈列于首都人民人会堂浙江厅。
