| 李膺（110～169） 中国东汉大臣。字元礼。颍川襄城（今河南襄城）人。初举孝廉，屡迁青州刺史、渔阳太守、蜀郡太守。属官畏其威明，多弃官而逃。后任乌桓校尉，出击鲜卑，身先士卒，所到之处，敌方无不望风惧服。李膺声振边庭。后任司隶校尉，惩办不法宦官，《后汉书》称：“诸黄门、常侍皆鞠躬屏气，休沐不敢复出宫省。”延熹九年（166）因捕杀交结宦官、教人杀子的方士张成，被诬告蓄养游士，交结生徒，共为部党，诽谤朝廷，被桓帝处以终身禁锢，赦归田里不得做官。桓帝并下令郡国大捕“党人”，共达200多名，被赦归田里后，皆禁锢终身，这就是党锢事件。灵帝继位后，大将军窦武、太傅陈蕃共谋诛除宦官，引用天下名士，起用李膺参与政事。失败后，窦武、陈蕃皆死，李膺再次被免官禁锢，后终于被曹节奏捕考杀。李膺人品高洁，太学生推崇他为“天下模楷李元礼（膺）”，凡能受到他赏识、接见的太学生都自认为如“登龙门”，身价十倍，对东汉末期的清议风气影响很大。 |
