This paper describes the major features and the development trend of big science,analyzes the actualities of the big science programs that China participates in,and also introduces the policies of some other countries about big science research,finally gives some thoughts on the international cooperation when China participates in the big science research programs.

While acknowledging the progress made in the current study of geographic subject matters in domestic schools,the author has put forward his perspective about the problems in the whole scheme of the research program and the systematic study of the subject matters,as well as the process of application.
