性质:胆色素之一种,胆红素前体。深绿色片状或柱状结晶。不熔,超过300℃黑化并分解。能溶于甲醇、醚、氯仿、二硫化碳。胆绿蛋白失去蛋白组分和铁后形成的有四个核的线性吡咯色素。它可还原为胆红素。只存在于鸟类、两栖动物或食草动物的胆汁中、正常人的胆及血清中不存在胆绿素。肝脏可捕获血液中胆绿素,其中大部分与UDP-葡萄糖醛酸结合成葡糖苷酸,最后排到胆汁中。
