The Yihuang area lies in the contact zone between the low grade metamorphic series of south central Jiangxi and the medium and high grade metamorphic series of Wuyi.
宜黄地区是赣中南浅变质岩系与武夷中深变质岩系的接触地带，１∶５万区调证实，两套变质岩系具有相同的原岩建造和变形历史，其变质作用具“空间上渐变过渡，时间上渐进演化”之特点，反映了加里东期造山作用的发生→发展→消亡的全过程。

宜阳窑 宋代瓷窑。在河南宜阳三里庙等处。以烧青釉为主，兼烧白釉、白釉黑花及黑釉等品种。青瓷施釉稍厚，色较多样。装饰有印花、刻花等。青瓷刻花先刻出花叶轮廓线，花筋叶脉以篦状工具划刻，风格与耀州窑完全相同，碗里满刻菊瓣纹、罐盖面刻百折纹等也均与耀州窑风格相近。
