Based on investigation into the overall situation and the terrain characteristics along the river bank of the Luosuojiang River inside Menglun town,combined with evaluating on the importance of riparian landscape to the overall ecological and environmental construction in urban areas,some principles to be followed and related design methods for Luosuojiang River riparian landscape were proposed.

Affected by topographies and landforms, the city squares in river bordering and mountainous cities are very different from the city squares in plain cities, and they have closer relationships with the sites.

Based on the existing condition analysis of Chongqing river side road construction, this article pointed out some problems in the previous construction and provided some useful suggestions as well as some beneficial explorations for future river side road construction.

Based on the analysis of the bund s present situation,the article emphasis to some malpractice such as the current plans of the bund separates the city and the Huangpu River,and propose that opening the riverside landscape is important to promote the overall image and the civic culture of Shanghai,it hope to bring beneficial view for the bund remaking.
