Yulin-Nihe, Battle of
Yulin一Nihe Zhandou榆林泥河战斗(Yulin一Nihe，Battl。。。1938年7月下旬，为配合大青山支队向绥远省(今划归内蒙古自治区)挺进，执行开辟大青山抗日游击根据地的任务，八路军第120师第358旅第716团奉命进人雁北地区活动，以牵制日军兵力北调拦阻大青山支队人绥。8月3日夜，第716团团长贺炳炎、政治委员廖汉生令第3营袭击榆林火车站，令第1、第2营进至榆林以北的泥河地区设伏，打击增援之敌。4日凌晨，第3营以秘密、迅速动作将日军哨兵捕俘后，即向车站展开攻击，一举歼灭守军。岱岳日军闻讯，派出200余人，乘火车驰援，行至第2营设伏地域时遭到伏击。日军下车抵抗，第2营遂展开猛烈攻击，经数小时激战，围歼大部日军，并将火车焚毁。这次战斗，共毙伤日军300余人。(薛春德)
