船拍管理航运公司对船舶的经营、行政和技术管理。公司对船舶管理主要把一切与经营有关的各种责任和权利都落实给船舶管理者来实现，公司机关在业务上具有指导和检查的责任并给以支持和配合。船舶管理的组织形式，由船长和由他组织和领导下的船舶管理小组来进行。其主要职权有:①负责制定船舶年度预算，进行成本控制，提出完成利润的指标与措施。②制定船舶的营运计划，在实施过程中负责检查和督促，在执行中遇到问题和困难，及时研究予以解决。③制定船舶的维修保养计划、船舶零件的供应计划和修船计划，明确和实施船员自修工作。④保持船员的相对稳定，船员中某一职位出现缺员时，应尽可能从下一级职位船员中替补，以保持船员对船舶情次了解的连续性。⑤制定和建立船舶岗位责任制，并付诸实施。公司机关要配备有经验和熟悉船舶情况的调度员，加强与船舶的联系，为船舶提供更多的商务信息，保证船舶的后勤供应。公司对船舶要保留必要的控制。
