【回归模型预测法】简称“回归预测法”,以定量研究变量间相关关系的回归方法为基础的预测方法。基本思路是:通过样本信息,分析预测对象与有关因素之间的总体相关关系,设定适当的数学模型(称为总体回归模型)将这种相关关系的类型表达出来;然后再利用样本信息,运用参数估计法,建立反映预测对象与主要相关因素之间总体关系的样本回归模型;进行必要的检验;最后根据已建立并通过检验的样本回归模型,来预测研究对象的未来状况。其中,在预测之前所做的那些工作,包括模型设定、参数估计和模型检验,统称为回归分析。由回归方法建立起来的数学模型,就称为回归模型。它一旦用于预测,又可称为预测回归模型。回归模型可分为线性回归模型和非线性回归模型,也可分为一元回归模型和多元回归模型。回归预测法,有比较严密的理论基础和较成熟的计算分析方法,如果模型建立得当,则可得到比较精确的预测结果。
