性质:一种天然酸性玻璃质火山熔岩非金属矿产,包括珍珠岩、松脂岩和黑曜岩,三者只是结晶水含量不同。由于在1000~1300℃高温条件下其体积迅速膨胀4~30倍,故统称为膨胀珍珠岩。一般要求膨胀倍数>7~10倍(黑曜岩>3倍,可用),二氧化硅70%左右。均为露天开采。不用选矿,只需破碎,筛分即可。可用作过滤剂、催化剂、分子筛以及橡胶、化肥、农药的载体。广泛用于建筑、冶金、石油、机械、轻工、水电、铸造、医药、食品、农林园艺等部门。经常温导热系数0.0245~0.048W/(m·K),高温导热系数0.058~0.175W/(m·K),低温导热系数0.028~0.038W/(m·K),最高使用温度80℃。用作高效保温、保冷填充材料。
