此为利用多普勒效应的原理对运动的脏器和血流进行探测的仪器。常用的超声多普勒诊断仪是由双片插头接受连续超声回声，转成电信号，经低频放大后作监听用；亦可外接示波器，供波型观察及摄影；接心电图记录仪，则可描记下信号的包络曲线。此外，还可用以探测胎动、胎盘杂音和脐带杂音。
