| 过渡轨道 transfer orbit 使航天器脱离原先飞行的轨道进入另一条轨道的过程中所采用的轨道。最著名的过渡轨道是霍曼轨道，它是两条同心共面圆轨道之间的一条椭圆轨道，既与内圆外切又与外圆内切。为了使航天器在这两条轨道之间过渡，只需在这条椭圆轨道与两条圆轨道的两个切点上施加两个切向速度脉冲增量（同为加速或同为减速）便可实现。为了节省运行时间 ，可选用双曲线或抛物线过渡轨道，消耗能量并不太多。在两条不同轨道之间的过渡轨道并不是唯一的，过渡轨道最佳化理论就是要寻找在某种条件下消耗能量最省的过渡轨道。在航天工程中，过渡轨道的选择要综合考虑能量消耗、飞行时间、制导精度、测量和控制条件等因素。 |
