Oryctocephalus indicus is found in the Kaili Formation which locates at Tunzhou Village, Jianhe County and Zhusha Village,Zhenyuan County.
贵州剑河县巴水崖和镇远县朱砂凯里组剖面中下部都有Oryctocephalus indicus的产出,说明Oryctocephalus indicus的分布具有普遍性。

Nineteen specimens of Oryctocephalus indicus(Reed,1910) from the middle-upper part of Kaili Formation of Middle Cambrian in Jianhe County,southeastern Guizhou,South China,which are interpreted as exuvial configurations,are described.
