物理学术语。发射(或接收)某一频率声波的声源(或声接收器)在其远场中的发射声压(或接收灵敏度)的方向特性。常用指向性图表示。指向性是声源在远场形成波束的方向特性，也是声接收器对入射声波的方向选择特性。它与声源(或接收器)的工作表面形状、大小和声波波长有关。换能器阵列的指向性还与各换能器阵元的振幅、相位有关。在声波束形成和接收指向性形成中，进行最优化设计是声学工程的重要内容之一。
