矸石

   采矿过程中,从井下或露天矿采场采出的或混入矿石中的岩石(废石)。俗称矸子。煤层中间的薄岩层叫夹石或夹心矸子。在煤的开采中,大于50毫米的矸石量占全部煤产量的百分率称为含矸率。矸石常是煤的灰分增加的重要原因。所以在生产过程中应积极采取措施,减少矸石的混入,降低含矸率,提高原煤质量。堆置废石或矸石的场地的位置应考虑卫生和安全的要求,矸石场的边界距风井不小于80米,距公路不小于60米,应远离居民区和高压供电线路,并设在下风向。
