丁苯乳液是由丁二烯与苯乙烯乳液共聚而得，简称SBRL。相对密度0．9～1．05。结合苯乙烯量为23%～85％，大量生产的丁苯乳液结合苯乙烯量在23%～25％，而高苯乙烯乳液(SBR-HSL)结合苯乙烯量则高达80%～85％。一般方法制得的丁苯乳液总固含量为40%～50％，而高固乳液总固含量则在63%～69％。丁苯胺乳的耐热性忧于天然乳液，老化后不发粘、不软化，但却变硬。现已生产出防冻丁苯乳液，在-5～0℃不冻结。
用作地毯、纸加工、建筑胶粘剂，贮存于5℃以上的库房内。
