Based on ODT for Automatically Extracting Information from the Title Bar of DWG File;

The basic concept and characteristics of UG/Open API are introduced, some important techniques and methods about the autogeneration of title bar and part list are studied.

This paper analyzes present dwg file data technique status in quo in AutoCAD and introduces how to make the title bar and list into the attribute block that is exported into unattached Access database file when automatic generation of the graphic to improve drawing efficiency.

In order to achieve a high efficiency of drafting, it is proposed to draw drawing borders by program and import title block as a template.

The format of title block provided by AutoCAD software doesn t meet the requiremen of the business enterprise of China,so a basic principle and method of drawing automatically and filling in the title block is proposed base upon ObjectARX 2006 in the paper.
