性质:也称为光存储材料。是一种借助光(多为激光束)的作用可以写入、读出信息的材料。写入时光盘的存储介质与聚焦的激光束相互作用,产生物理或化学作用,形成记录点,其性质与周围介质不同,当光再次照射时形成反差,产生读出信号。光记录材料可以分为只读型和读写型,只读型多是从可写型光盘复制得到的,价格低廉,可以大批量复制生产,如常见的CD唱片、VCD和LD视盘等,这种材料由光盘基板和表面记录层构成,用于永久性保留信息。而读写型光记录材料由光盘基板与光敏材料复合而成,记录的信息可以在激光作用下改写,用于临时性信息记录,价格比较贵。光记录高分子材料是目前使用最广、高密度、低价格信息记录材料之一。
