Under the huge earthquake ground motion,fiber beam-column element is used to simulate the plastic hinge in piers,the result of nonlinear time history analysis shows that the plastic deformation and dissipative energy in the bridge using LWC in superstructure is remarkably slighter than that using NWC in superstructure.
