CMOS Star Sensor System Design;

This paper discusses a low cost CMOS star sensor system design, which makes ARM9 as host processor, uses FPGA to implement device drivers for CMOS sensor as well as pictures pretreatment.

A filtering algorithm for high precision attitude determination of a specific satellite is presented based on star-sensors and fiber optic gyroscopes (FOG).

To meet the high accuracy of three-axis attitude determination of satellite, a new approach, which combines the star sensors with FOG, is proposed, and an algorithm of attitude determination is designed.

This algorithm can improve star sensors precision efficiently.

For star sensors in CCD,a fast and reliable star map identification algorithm is the most critical part for determining star sensor attitude.
