填料函密封
靠填料阻塞泄漏通路的可用於往復或旋转运动的接触式动密封﹐主要有软填料密封(图1 软填料密封 )和硬填料密封(图2 硬填料密封 )两类。软填料密封又称盘根密封﹐填料函内的填料受压盖的轴向力作用而径向胀紧﹐以达到密封目的。软填料常由纤维(石棉﹑尼龙等)﹑润滑剂(石墨﹑二硫化鉬﹑滑石粉等)和各种金属丝增强剂组成。填料磨损后可通过拧紧螺栓予以补偿。软填料密封结构简单﹑可靠﹑易检修﹑耐腐蚀和耐高温﹐曾广泛用作旋转轴和往復运动的杆件密封﹐但接触面积﹑摩擦阻力﹑功耗和磨损均较大﹐除低速阀杆运动仍有採用外﹐已逐渐被机械密封所代替。硬填料密封常用分瓣环作密封件。分瓣环外圆周有周向弹簧﹐靠弹簧力与轴抱紧。被密封的介质压力可使环產生轴向和径向压紧力﹐以提高密封效果。密封环内圆磨损后﹐各片可沿切口滑移使内孔收缩﹐保持密封性能。分瓣环常用金属或石墨製成﹐比软填料有更高的耐热和耐压性能。它广泛用作往復压缩机活塞杆等的往復密封或高压釜搅拌轴等的旋转式密封。
