缝纫机在缝纫时，进行递送缝料的机构。其分类为：
顺向送料机构：离开操作者的方向的送料。
倒向送料机构：向操作者的方向的送料。
横向送料机构：沿着操作者的左，右方向的送料。
下送料机构：由压紧杆机构的压脚压紧缝料，并由送料机构的下送料牙在缝料的背面推送缝料的机构，是缝纫机中最基本的送料形式。
上送料机构：由交替压紧杆机构的上送料压脚在缝料的顶面推送缝料的机构。
针送料机构：机针刺入缝料后由于针杆机构的摆动，和下送料机构的下送料牙一起推送缝料的机构。
上、下复合进料机构：由可摆动的上送料压脚和下送料牙同时作用于缝料的顶面和背面一起推送缝料的机构。
