澜沧江 中国西南地区大河之一。上源扎曲源出青海省杂多县境唐古拉山北麓查加日玛的西侧,南流在西藏自治区昌都县附近与昂曲汇合后称澜沧江,向东南流入云南西部至西双版纳傣族自治州南部,流出国境称湄公河,经缅甸、老挝、泰国、柬埔寨,在越南南部入南海。河长2153千米,流域面积16.4万平方千米,占澜沧江-湄公河流域面积的22.5%。支流众多,较大支流有沘江、漾濞江、威远江、补远江等。上中游河道从青藏高原穿行在横断山脉间,河流深切,形成两岸高山对峙,坡陡险峻V形峡谷。下游沿河多河谷平坝,著名的景洪坝、橄榄坝各长8千米,已初步拟定在干流上兴建24级梯级电站。河道中险滩急流较多。径流资源丰富,多年平均径流量740亿立方米。水力资源理论蕴藏量3656万千瓦,可能开发量约2348万千瓦,干流为2088万千瓦,约占全流域89%。河道中因险滩急流较多,只有威远江口至橄榄坝段可行木船和机动船。1990年中、老两国进行了洪水期考察,试航万象取得成功。1993年新组建的思茅航运公司,开始为老挝、缅甸、泰国运送产品3000多吨。同年,中、老、缅、泰4国经过协商,对该河段提出共同整治方案。
