By combining the theoretical analysis and computer simulation technology,and coMParing the arch-top settlement,surface subsidence and middle rock pillar displacement of a large section shallow neighborhood tunnel under the condition of class Ⅴand class Ⅳ,the method of middle pillar reinforcement was analyzed in this paper.
