　　减少参与理论(disengagement theory)关于老化研究的较有影响的三种理论之一。由库明和亨利提出。该理论认为，若要使老年期享有愉快的生活，最基本的原则是减少职业性与社交性的活动，尤其是在情感性人际关系上更应避免涉入。如此留下属于自己的时间与精力，安享自由、恬静的晚年。减少参与理论有两个方面:一是来自社会的减少参与，即为了保持社会的功能，就要准备建立退休的减少参与的制度;二是来自个人的减少参与，即缩小生活领域，减少自发性的参与，而转向自我中心的生活。老化研究另外两种理论:(l)持续活动理论(ac6-vityth。。ry)·认为若想老年期享有愉快的生活，最基本的原则是使老年人保持与社会接触，继续以往中年期的一切活动。即使退休了，仍须以退而不休的做法，在活动中获得充实感，从而避免因退休而来的失落与寂寞。(2)连续性理论(。o。士i。:，ity rheory)。由纽加顿和罗伯特等人提出。它从发展心理学的观点看老化问题，认为习惯与爱好很重要。进入老年，应继续保持良好的习惯和爱好即使习惯与爱好发件二变化，也应看作是对现实的一种适应。这一理论主张在适应上可有不同的方向，并承认娜个老年人都存在着各自的差异性。 (王小英撰车文博审)
