| 自然区划 physical regionalization 根据自然地理环境及其组成成分在空间分布的差异性和相似性，将一定范围的区域划分为一定等级系统的系统研究方法。全称自然地理区划。在研究地域分异规律的基础上，探讨自然地 理环境及其组成成分的特征、变化和分布规律；合理利用自然资源、因地制宜进行生产布局和制定各种规划的基础。自然区划既是划分，又是合并。根据地域分异规律，可将等级高的自然区划单位划分成等级低的自然区划单位；又可根据区域共轭性原则，将等级低的自然区划单位合并成等级高的自然区划单位。这种自上而下地划分与自下而上地合并是互相补充的。 按区划的对象，自然区划分为综合自然区划和部门自然区划。综合自然区划以自然环境整体为对象。部门自然区划以自然地理环境的各组成成分为对象，如地貌、气候、水文、土壤、植被、动物等。部门自然区划是在考虑自然地理环境综合特征基础上，依据某一组成成分地域分异规律而进行的区域划分。如地貌区划、气候区划、水文区划、土壤区划、植物区划、动物区划等。按区划的目的，自然区划中有各种实用自然区划，如公路自然区划、建筑自然区划、农业自然区划等。实用自然区划的特点是自然、技术、经济3方面的结合，目标明确，实践用途较大。 自然区划的对象是不同等级的自然综合体，所以自然区划是多级的系统。这个系统由地带性区划单位和非地带性区划单位组成。地带性区划单位可分为自然带或热量带，自然地带和自然亚地带等。非地带性区划单位可分自然大区、自然区域（也有人不划出自然区域）、自然地区、自然区等。区划的一般等级系统有两种：一是单列系统，将地带性区划单位与非地带性区划单位相间排列成一个系统；另一种是双列系统，将两类区划单位按双列系统排列，中间有联系单位。 |
