电视剧连续剧《红楼梦》片头中有一块神姿仙态的“飞来石”，它就在被称为“海南第一山”的东山岭上。
东山岭风景区在万宁市东2公里处，面积有10平方公里，海拔只有184米高的东山岭遍山都是奇石，前面提到过的那块石头就是“一线天”胜景之处的风动石，它重达百余吨，能在海风的吹拂和人力的推摇下产生晃动。东山岭濒临南海，景色十分秀丽。岭上还有多处古迹和庙宇，均为省重点保护文物，其中潮音寺尤为海外侨胞重视。
交通：在万宁市区坐三轮摩托车，3元就可以到了。
门票：免费，上山缆车20元。
小贴士：龙泉水、鹧鸪茶、东山羊被称之“东山岭三绝”，来东山岭游玩不可错过一饱口福的机会。龙泉水清洌甘甜；鹧鸪茶历来被誉为“灵芝草”；东山羊毛色乌黑，因长期食用鹧鸪茶等稀有草木，肉质毫无腥膻，鲜美可口。此外，这里还有外脆内酥的东山烙饼。
