【概念】城市中为生活及生产服务的各项基础设施的建设用地，包括：供应设施、交通设施、邮电设施、环境卫生设施、施工与维修设施、殡葬设施及其它市政公用设施的建设用地。
【说明】根据国标GBJ137—90条第2.0.5条的规定，市政公用设施用地包括供应设施用地（供水、供电、供燃气和供热等设施用地，但供电用地中不包括应归入工业用地的电厂用地，关于高压线走廊下规定的控制范围内的用地，则应按其地面实际用途归类），交通设施用地（公共交通和货运交通等设施用地），邮电设施用地（邮政、电信和电话等设施用地），环境卫生设施用地（雨水、污水处理和粪便垃圾处理用地），施工与维修设施用地，殡葬设施用地及其它市政公用设施如消防、防洪等设施用地。
