The mass concentration of exhaust particulate from diesel engine with electronically controlled fuel injection system was measured by using an improved total cylinder dumping system under different conditions.

A total cylinder dumping system was developed using electronically controlled fuel injection technology on the CY6102BZLQ type direct injection diesel engine, and the components and work principium of this electronic control unit were introduced.

Based on a new-designed total cylinder sampling system done by authors,particulate evolutionary process,shape character and physiochemical property in diesel combustion under different engine operating con- ditions are investigated.
