性质:在地表下浅层(一般小于50m)处置放射性废物,工程屏障根据实际情况可有可无,其安全性主要取决于包气带土质类型和土层厚度,地表防护覆盖层厚度一般为几米。该方法是世界有核国家普遍采用的埋藏中低放固体废物的方法。近年来,“浅层地下埋藏”术语已为“近地表处置(埋藏)”(near-surface disposal)所替代,两者概念是一致的。
