以回转圆盘作为传热元件的换热器。它的基本结构有薄板圆盘和厢形圆盘两种形式。①圆盘由金属薄板构成(图中a),参加换热的两流体A、B分别由设置在转轴两端的料箱经空心轴和锥形分布器到达圆盘中部,在离心力作用下,呈薄膜状分布于转盘两侧面,作高速流动,以强化传热和缩短停留时间,最后汇集于盘周的环形沟槽中,分别经排液管导出。②圆盘是金属薄板制成的厢形结构(图中b),盘内通过被处理料液,盘外通过加热或冷却介质。料液由空心轴引入和导出。转盘换热器的特点是传热系数大和物料停留时间短,因此它适于处理高热敏性流体,大多用于食品工业。转盘式换热器适用的粘度范围很宽,从低于0.001帕秒到高达40帕秒。转盘的圆周线速度常用1~4米/秒。若盘上设置刮片等扰流构件,传热系数K值也不会增大,故以光滑圆盘为宜;但转速增高,一般可使K值增大。
