Based on the approach of molecular structure design,by way of adding a modifier in synthesis of sulfonate melamine formaldehyde condensate,a high molecular polymer side chain of prolongation was introduced into main struc- ture of the superplasticizer to form a modified melamine superplasticizer(SMS)with high dispersion and capacity for sustaining long time dispersion.

Based on the mechanism of formaldehyde release from MDF and the methods for decreasing its amount, a formula of melamine modified UF resin was designed, and the choice of melamine dosage, molar ratio, additive and hardener was also investigated.

The main purpose of this research has involved the production of flame retardant phenolic resin made by the mixture,at certain ratio,of tribromophenol modified phenolic resin、melamine modified phenolic resin and rosin modified resin.
