【房产交易所】从事房屋买卖的商业机构。在我国，房产交易所一般是由国家设立的，它不仅从事房屋的买卖业务，而且具有房屋买卖的管理职能。房产交易所受国家房产管理部门的委托并在其领导下，按政策法律规定，从事房屋买卖业务，管理房屋买卖有关事宜。通过房产交易所，可以把房屋买卖活动纳人国家的管理、指导和监督之下，通过合理的有价交易，达到互通有无，防止投机倒把、买空卖空、哄抬房价等非法活动。全国解放后，在一些城市曾成立了房产交易所(或房地产交易所)。后来由于实行了住房配给制，在市场上交易的房屋很少，房产交易所也逐步撤销或并人其他机构。直到1983年房产交易所(或房地产交易所)才随着房改的深化而逐步恢复。随着房改目标的逐步实现，住宅商品化也将随之发达起来，房产交易的数量和金额都将大大增加起来，房产交易所的地位和作用将越来越重要。
