岩头村在永嘉岩头镇。以科学的水利设施和巧妙的村庄布局而闻名。水利工程始兴于宋，竣工于明初。引溪水人村复出村，一路建有8个大小涵洞，2个节制闸、5个人工湖池，一水多用，灌溉、生活用水、发动水碓、观赏。全村座西进东，背山面水。村内亭台楼阁、街巷民居、石桥牌楼，布局井然。横街直巷，三进两院大住宅，前后面街，左右临巷，以利出入；绕以流泉，取水方便，丽水湖堤以来逐渐形成商业街，濒湖一面建300米长廊，设美人靠，面湖建店铺，古风犹存。湖有亭，古色古香；有石桥，特用48块条石建造，寓明时本地属永嘉县第四十八都之意，造型别致。
