为萝藦科植物萝藦的果壳。植物形态详"萝藦"条。
【采集】
秋季采收成熟果实，剥取果壳晒干。
【药材】
干燥果壳，对开似舟状，基部钝圆，可见果柄或脱落的圆形疤痕；另端渐狭而长，顶端反卷；长约7～10厘米，宽约4厘米。果皮厚约1.5毫米，外表面黄绿色，具纤维状纹理及疣状突起；内表面黄白色，光滑而润泽。纤维性强，不易折断。无气味。以干燥、大而完整、青黄色，无杂质为佳。 产于江苏、上海、浙江等地。
【炮制】
剪去果柄，除去种子及绒毛。
【性味】
《饮片新参》："咸，平。"
【功用主治】
清肺化痰。治咳嗽痰多，肺风痰喘，百日咳，惊病，麻疹不透。 ①《饮片新参》："软坚，化痰，清肺。治肺风痰喘，定惊痫。" ②《药材资料汇编》："治小儿麻疹。" ③江西《草药手册》："治肺风痰喘，损伤出血。" ④《上海常用中草药》："化痰，止咳，平喘，治咳嗽痰多，气喘，百日咳，麻疹透发不畅，发热咳嗽。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，2～3钱。
