The article establishes a mathematical model of energy conservation measures of structures of public buildings with the consuming cold amounts as the parameter of cost during the whole life cycle and with the target of balance between the initial investments and the cost amounts.

An outline is given of the ICI-AMV Process and the KBR Process for the ammonia unit, with their respective characteristics,and an analysis is given of the energy conservation measures adopted by the two processes.
