SRS气囊是在发生碰撞时，对来自前方的强烈撞击发生膨胀反应，并与安全带保护相呼应，减轻对前排驾乘人员头部的伤害。双气囊固然好，但SRS气囊只是座椅安全带的辅助装置，据世界汽协的安全标准：系好安全带后的安全系数是44％，即使有8个安全气囊的汽车安全系数也只有47％，况且“威驰”还有安全车身（GOA）。所以保证安全主要还是系安全带和安全驾驶。
