位于胜利乡白塔村的西麓，隔河与黄水镇相望。山下一马平川，与杨柳河古渡口陶家渡、白云渡紧临，古代为交通要冲，汉蜀守任安曾于此筑宜城。此一带崖墓交集中，有处，远望如蜂房。形制大小不一，有正方形、长方形、单双门楣、弧形，年修殿三重，壁上不少彩画，而‘三绝’已无。”六十年代，应天寺壁画同全寺佛像一起被砸毁，无一幸存。其它寺庙壁画的命运也大多如此。太平镇锁龙村村民裴家贵住宅有三幅壁画（两侧配对联），一幅横式为山水，两幅竖式为梅花、盆景，上书民国癸亥江源画巅郑松涛作。现存完好。县内保存完好的古石雕主要有卧云寺和金华庵两处。卧云寺有石刻造像五尊（彩绘）共三窟。中为石刻大佛，旁刻嘉靖九年（1540）、十一年装修字样。其余在民国时期重建时改为泥塑。金华庵大佛殿有一大佛塑像刻在岩壁内。
