吉兴森林公园位于七台河市勃利县城西22公里处,最高峰海拔743米。林区内有抗日战争时期东北抗日民主联军密营旧址、解放初期剿匪的遗址——大石棚山洞等历史遗迹多处。

吉兴森林属针阔混交原始森林,总面积960.2万平方米,林业占地838.5万平方米。
