“尼亚塔波拉”意为“五层”，故亦译“五层塔”。
位于[[尼泊尔]]王国的古城巴德冈，建于1708年，相传帕廷德拉·玛拉国王曾亲自背运砖石，参加建造。尼亚塔波拉塔建在一方形五层砖砌台基上，每层都有四方形塔檐向外伸展。台基正中五级石阶两旁自下而上，每一级的两边都有一对雕像，第一级是一对力士，第二级是一对巨象，第三级是一对狮子，第四级是一对狮鹫，第五级是一对女神。传说每层雕像的神力比下一层的大10倍，一对力士之力也比常人大10倍。塔内供奉成就吉祥天女。塔庙画栋雕梁，色彩斑斓，神像所刻花饰，绚丽多姿，反映了玛拉王朝后期建筑和雕刻艺术的高超水平。
