Through drilling the core from one highway,the parameters of the pavement,such as void,thickness,asphalt-aggregate ratio and gradation of the asphalt concrete are measured.

A static uniaxial creep test is implemented to investigate the influence of the void ratio and the asphalt-aggregate ratio on the stability at high temperature of modified AC-20I asphalt mixture.

Using static and dynamic creep test the static and dynamic responses of creep stiffness modulus of asphalt mixtures for AC13 and AC25 with different gradations and asphalt-aggregate ratios determined by orthogonal test design,temperatures and loading levels were researched.

Some problems such as oil stone ratio, designing and constuction of the experimental section, material quality control, construction quality control and so on in the application of SMA pavement technology are researched and illustrated by the project researches and practice on Hefei Anqing expressway engineering of Anhui Province.

It was analysed that gradation types,oil stone ratio and the number of rolling effecting the anti-rutting performance of asphalt mixture.

The influence regulations of the voidage and water permeability affected by the coarse aggregate and the bitumen aggregate ratio have been analyzed.

The gradation and asphalt content are the important control parameters in the design of asphalt mixture.

Test results indicate asphalt content mightily influences mixture bending toughness, bending toughness will increase with asphalt content increase.
