又名“北极航线和东北航线”。世界最北的海洋航线,连接大西洋和太平洋间的海上捷径。西起摩尔曼斯克或阿尔汉格尔斯克,经北冰洋南部的巴伦支海、白海、喀拉海、拉普捷夫海、东西伯利亚海、楚科奇海至太平洋白令海西北岸的普罗维杰尼亚,长约6,000公里,因大部船只迄于符拉迪沃斯托克(海参崴),通常将它作为此航线的终点,全长10,400公里。三十年代初正式开辟。全线通航期2-3个月。从喀拉海峡到白令海峡段通航较困难,需破冰船领航、飞机或卫星导航。为俄罗斯欧亚两部分海上联系的最短航线。沿线主要港口有:迪克森、杜金卡、伊加尔卡、提克西、佩韦克、普罗维杰尼亚等。1878-1879年,瑞典北极探险家诺登舍尔德率探险队首次完成全线航行。
