    使上游渠道或水域的水沿陡槽下泄到下游渠道或水域的落差建筑物 。多用于落差集中处 ,也用于泄洪排水和退水。建筑材料多用砌石、混凝土和钢筋混凝土。单级陡坡由进口连接段 、控制堰口 、陡坡段、消能设施和下游连接段组成。其进口连接段、控制堰口和下游连接段的结构布置同跌水。陡坡段的坡度一般均大于临界坡  ,常用坡比为  1∶3  ~1∶10。横断面多为梯形,槽底在平面布置上常采用扩散式、菱形和等宽式3种。为降低流速和改善流态常在槽底等距离建阻水条坎(糙条)加糙。陡坡段末端常接消力池,但泄水、退水和溢洪道上的陡坡段后也常采用挑流消能  。当落差很大时,可采用多级陡坡。其结构与单级陡坡相似。其中间各级的上级陡坡消力池末端,即下一级陡坡的控制堰口。
